PHILIPPINE UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB

PHILIPPINE UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB

WELCOME TO THE HOMEPAGE OF PHILIPPINE UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB

PUFC was founded after a succesfully trial in Manchester on August 17th 2008 with 38 players and on September 12, 2008 the club was registered in the Football Assoociation here in the UK.

In November Head Coach Norm Parkin and Assistant Coach Steve Conroy who has been involved with Philippine football more than 9 years joined PUFC and a meeting took place together with the players later on January 17th 2009 in the Philippine Embassy, thanks to a big help from Adrian Williams from Philippine Generations, Deputy Chief of Mission Reynaldo Catapang and all staff from Embassy and also Edward Lao and Danny Buenafe from ABS CBN who covered the meeting and Gen Ashley, publisher of One Philippnes Newspaper.

Also a big thanks to Jane Estanislao and Roger Pe for design of our home and away kit and to our goalkeeper Engelbert Cepillo who created our logo. The home and away kit has been made in the Philippines thanks to a big help from PFF in Manila.

Without all these people we couldnt have got a better start for our team and after several trials in Powerleague Queens School Watford in North of London which became the home ground for Philippine United FC we later joined the league in West Hertfordshire in September 2009 and we got a great start there by winning all our matches and top of that league and currently still unbeaten.

We will also work close together with PFF in Manila and hopefully find comming players for the national team but we will also try to get some players up here from PFF to join our team for a short or longer period to gain more experience so we can make PFF and PUFC even stronger.
Currently we are also looking for bigger sponsors so we can send our team to the Philippines in 2010 and play some matches there.
