My first time to watch the new production of Miss Saigon

Queued up this morning to get a day ticket to watch Miss Saigon. Ended up being in a box at the back of the stalls. Good seat. Loved the opening scene, very clever, great to see the characters come to life, even with a smaller stripped down set. Having watched the original production in Drury Lane many times, was not sure what to expect, have to be honest.

In fact I did get to watch the schools edition last year in the same theatre, I have a sneaky impression that this was a tester for Cameron so thanks so much also to schools cast.

Loved Jon Jon as the Engineer, stunning performance and actually very funny and clever. What a slick well timed performance as well.

Having watched so many Kim's previously including Lea Salonga and of course Monique Wilson who I became such a fan of, didn't think anybody could step into their shoes and have to be honest, when I first heard that the role had been given to a 17 year old newcomer who acted in a schools production I wasn't sure. OMG omg I was so mistaken, I have to say I think Eva Noblezada was totally stunning as Kim and knocked me back.

She is such a star and had such a stunning voice and also understanding of what was needed. Totally original and she did not need to copy anyone, she led the way as Kim and to Sir Cameron, wow you made the perfect choice. Also think you have found the next Lea, this girl is destined for massive things, not to sure if we can keep her for long, think she's destined for Broadway!!!

Hugh Maynard as the John, Bui Doi wow, sensational performance, best version ever, exactly what the song needed.

What an incredible cast, nice to see some of the original cast too and some friends. All doing a brilliant job. Wow Gigi, before tonight, didn't understand why Rachelle wanted to go from being an international recording artist and pop star to performing in a theatre night after night, I certainly see why, you can see she absolutely loves her time at Miss Saigon and she is very much loved in the show. Super exceptional talent, what a voice!!!

Had such a brilliant time, many congratulations Sir Cameron Macintosh and of course to the incredible cast, thank you. Thank you so much!!!
