Fil-Event.com welcomes Philippine Ambassador Enrique A. Manalo
Fil-Event.com would like to welcome His Excellency Enrique A. Manalo, Philippine Ambassador to the Court of St James.
President Benigno Aquino III has appointed Enrique A. Manalo as Philippine Ambassador to United Kingdom, along with other 17 new ambassadors.
Ambassador Manalo replaces Hon. Antonio Lagdameo who finished his tour of duty last September 2010.
The UK mission was headed by the Charge d Affaires Hon. Reynaldo A. Catapang since Lagdameo left the post.
Prior to the appointment, Manalo was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Belgium, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Head of the Mission of the Philippines to the European Union.
Being a career diplomat, Manalos postings include Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Policy from August 2007 to February 2010. Permanent Representative of the Philippines to the United Nations in Geneva (2003-2007), and Charge d Affaires and then Deputy Permanent Representative of the Philippines to the United Nations in New York (2000 until 2003)
Ambassador Manalo has also represented the Philippines in numerous multilateral and regional conferences, including President of the General Assembly of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) (2005-2007).
