Just thought I would update everyone on the progress of Fil Event so far and let everyone know the future plans.
The new site was launched just over a week ago. The design and development of the new website was done by Michael from a company called Litestudio82. For contact details of Michael, please click on the logo at the bottom of the page. Fil Event was created to inform the Philippine community around the world regarding events happening in their area and country.
So far in just over a week we have had hits from over 30 countries or cities, well over 300 hits from all over the Philippines as well as Australia, America, Indonesia, Dubai and many other places. I have all this information thanks to the amazing Google analytic's which I am still getting to grips with.
We have many community groups from around the world who have also joined the project, this includes Filipino women's association UK, PNA UK, Mindanao UK and the Rotaract club of Manila Metro to name a few!
I have also got more than three sponsors on board who have been supporting the site. These include Filmefilms, Amore Aventi and Arddys UK. In addition to this we will shortly be joined by a new sponsor who would like to give the filipino community a business opportunity. This project has been possible due to sponsors.
We were also recently able to support a Barrio Fiesta in the Philippines in Cansinala which is taking place in April. We were able to host and display the barrio fiesta programme which has meant that those in the town and involved with the fiesta are able to view the event programme without the need for postage costs and also saving paper, this is trying to contribute to being environmentally friendly!
Thank you so much for all who have helped to promote the project so far. Without the support of the filipino community around the world, this would not have been possible. Please keep sending in your requests for advertising of events and businesses within the community. Further updates coming soon.
