Jordan
Jordan Saflor is a British singer-songwriter who has been garnering increasing recognition over the past year, thanks to his stand out live sets and soulful single Lay You Down. The self-penned track received notable attention in 2011, with key plays on BBC radio from 6 Music and 1Xtra. It was initially selected by BBC Introducing and went on to become the Download of the Week on the 100 percent Homegrown show on 1Xtra.
A dynamic and versatile performer, Jordan recently got the opportunity to support an idol of his, the legendary Roc Nation-signee Andrea Martin, at the infamous Brixton Mass. He has also performed at an RCA showcase at the O2 Academy 2 in London, as well as numerous smaller venues such as The Bowery, formally The Fly bar. Born in London to Filipino parents, Jordan has opened at the art deco venue the Troxy Theatre to a 2000-strong audience for an award-winning Filipino comedian, as well as a slot at a London festival in front of 10,000 people.
His most random on stage experience to date is singing for Lord Sainsbury on his 84th birthday(!). A University of Westminster graduate, Jordan has done sets for Oxjam Festival, Macmillan Cancer Support and a fundraiser in aid of the victims of Typhoon Sendong (Philippines), the latter raising over £2000. As well as continuing to tour, Jordan is currently working towards the completion of his debut album, a collection of songs, which he describes as expressive-simplicity.
