Jaynee

Jaynee

Jaynee is the performer, the band and the music all combined into one small, yet strikingly beautiful package.
Jaynee, real name Jane Mina Burns, is the product of a mixed heritage marriage between a Filipina and a Scotsman; such a rare combination was sure to produce a unique individual with eclectic tastes that permeates all the way through to her music.

Her parents, both from musical families full of guitarists, singers and percussionists, had the suspicion that their daughter would have performing aspirations as from the age of 4 she used to stand up on top of her toy box in the living room and sing and dance to Whitney Houston's Dance With Somebody before slowing it down with Greatest Love of All. At that moment they knew that they would have to harness these gifts and promptly enrolled her at Sylvia Youngs Theatre School where she would walk the same path as other London performers such as The Saturdays Vanessa White, Sugababes Jade Ewen and Leona Lewis.

Hip Hop Disciples

Hip Hop Disciples

Hip Hop Disciples are a Filipino/Ghanaian/British hip hop group from Manchester, England.

The group consists of D-Wrecker (MC/video producer), Mr Mina (MC/Producer) and MonkeyBOI Beatz (Producer(exec)/Manager). The group was formed in 2010, when D-wrecker collaborated with Mr Mina, who was at the time working on a solo album with MonkeyBOI Beatz, in his studio.

After the successful collaboration, the three of them felt the right chemistry was there, and ultimately formed the Hip Hop Disciples. Their style/sound is a hard one to categorize, as they are so versatile. If you were to ask any of the group to describe it, you can expect the response: were just different! The groups most striking aspect is the contrast between Mr Minas and D-Wreckers rapping style, which in turn, is accentuated by MonkeyBOI Beatzs unique production style. Mr Minas style can be described as a high pitched lyrical style, with so many syllables, its nearly impossible for anyone to imitate. Whilst, D-Wreckers style is more deeper, raw and powerful . Both unique to anything in the British Urban Music scene.
